Regional buildout advances across St. Lucie, Martin, and Indian River counties, supporting economic growth and long-term connectivity
PORT ST. LUCIE, FL., October 22, 2026 — Tillman Fiber today announced a nearly $70 million
investment to expand its fiber network across Florida's Treasure Coast, bringing new highcapacity broadband infrastructure to communities throughout St. Lucie, Martin, and Indian River
counties.
Construction is underway in Port St. Lucie, Fort Pierce, and Vero Beach, with additional projects
planned in Sebastian. The investment will expand Tillman Fiber’s 100% fiber network across the
region, providing infrastructure designed to support reliable, high-capacity connectivity for
homes and businesses. Tillman is teaming up with T-Mobile Fiber as the residential internet
provider to connect homes with fiber internet across the Treasure Coast as part of its continued
expansion in Florida and beyond.
"Florida's Treasure Coast continues to emerge as one of the state's most important growth
corridors, and that growth requires infrastructure designed for long-term performance," said Carl
E. Erhart, SVP of Public Policy and Compliance at Tillman Fiber. "Reliable fiber connectivity
plays a critical role in supporting economic development, education, healthcare access, and
business recruitment. Tillman Fiber is investing in infrastructure that will help these communities
meet growing connectivity needs and compete and thrive for decades to come."
Tillman Fiber operates an open-access network, enabling multiple internet service providers to
deliver service over shared fiber infrastructure. The model is designed to expand consumer
choice and competition while providing service providers with access to high-quality fiber
infrastructure without requiring duplicative network construction.
The Treasure Coast buildout is also expected to support local jobs across construction,
engineering, and field operations as network deployment advances throughout the region.
Once complete, the new infrastructure will support the region's evolving connectivity needs,
including remote work, education, healthcare, small business operations, business recruitment,
and emerging technologies.
